I’ve made butter in a Kitchen Aid. It was delicious!

When I was a kid in the 60’s, I was the one turning the hand crank on gallon jar making butter. When it got thick and hard to turn, momma took over. I was only 8 or 9 when I started helping.

When I grow up we had the hand crank style jar.

Love this*** my mom has Mormon friends when we were young. We would get the milk and separate, as you said. Brings back memories of my mom making butter and also cream cheese with pineapple. There were 5 of us kids we took turns churning, lol. I really like your power motor you have there👍🌻lol, I’m also remembering putting ground meat in pig intestines for casings. Of sausages. Watching this video brought back many memories 🦋

Pretty Cool! I've never actually made butter.

I have done butter in a Kitchenaid, and also with a hand mixer. Neither are horrible, but not as contained as that! Definitely worth it!
I'm wondering if a hand mixer in a bowl in sink with slow stream of water would be easier to purge the last of the buttermilk. Just a short squeeze with the hands after.

What an interesting process. I've never seen that type churn before, it looks very efficient. We have Hutterite butter in some of our stores and it is very expensive, now I can see why.

You said the magic word, RHUBARB. I'd love to see you make the rhubarb bread. And the cat is gorgeous - looks like my daughter's cat.

I remember momma making butter in the old crock with the hand plunger. She tore the muscles in her shoulder and daddy bought her an electric churn. Seems like it was about a 5 gallon 😂. She made and froze A LOT of butter!

This butter miser is great! Have you tried making your own mayo? I've tried it before and it just didn't turn out. If you have I would love to see a video of that!

LeAnn is buttermilk like this considered whole milk buttermilk? Or do you know?

I’ve made butter before but buying the heavy cream at the store is expensive so i only did it once. We aren’t near anyone with milk cows…

I think the proper thing to do was to post more on The Kneady Homesteader (Heather) instead of directing her subs to your channel before trying to grow your channel. She was the one who recently got out of the hospital and needed the help...and you're piggy backing from her channel which means you're probably getting subscribers from her for your channel.
