First time I had coffee was at church when I was 8. The pastor walked by and said “good ol’ Christian drug of choice. Gotta start ‘em early.” I have referred to coffee as the Christian drug of choice ever since.

Instant coffee can actually be dipped for a mild buzz. That's probably the only life skill the Army actually teaches you.

Fun fact: absolutely nothing at Goodwill is ever washed. We don't have time for that. About 8, 000 items are pushed out daily (including clothes) so we really dont have time to wash anything.

My math professor actually said the “it’s like cast iron” line about his coffee cup. Hadn’t washed it in years.

This is great. I drink my coffee black. My favorite breakfast is chewing on a couple packets of instant oats & jerky while downing coffee. I call it blue collar pemmican.

The coffee in the lip is actually called ranger dip, u take the instant coffee, creamer and sugar from an MRE mix it and toss in the lip. You don't have time to make coffee u gotta do what you gotta do.

The "we don't wash the coffee pot, it's cast iron" bit reminded me of my grandma's coffee pot. My mom once cleaned it so well, my grandma accused her of having replaced the pot with a new one Like she could not believe it was the same coffee pot 😂
