☕️ Black Coffee: underrated or overrated?!

The fewer ingredients you have in something, the more important it is that the ingredients are high quality and properly prepared!

I used to be a sweet latte guy, but then had a similar experience with cold brews. Over time I got less and less sweet foam, so I got accustomed to the cold brew taste. They’re just so smooth and don’t feel as hateful as black espresso.

Coffee if brewed right doesn't have those bad taste qualities (burnt, sour, bitter, astringent, pungent). What makes it addicting is the taste notes that hit when you sip and that lingering after taste that goes on for minutes even hours.

One can only appreciate black coffee if it's done right. The quality of coffee beans, brewing techniques are very important. Even black coffee drinkers would not drink badly prepared ones.

Black coffee is the best fr, lactose intolerance had an effect on me. 🗿🗿

A teeny sprinkle of salt in your grounds while you brew it helps take the bitter edge off coffee too!

If you do have burnt tasting or bitter coffee a little salt helps mellow it out. Takes some of the bitterness away.

One of the ways for me is to treat it like dark chocolate. Let it slowly enter your mouth (slurp for extra flavors if you're alone), let it sit there for at least three seconds and slowly swallow not all but in small amounts. That feels insanely extra but doing that and variants of that helps to really appreciate the flavor compared to if i just swallowed it instantly my mouth would die. Also could try light-roast if you don't like that bitterness to it

been drinking black coffee since i was 10/11.
my parents used to force me to drink it with milk but i hated it so i drank it before they got to the kitchen in the morning and haven’t stopped since then, i am now 23 😆 i drink it entirely free of cream, milk or sugar

Started because I got interested in making coffee! From the kind of roast you do, where the beans come from, how fresh they are, how precisely you brew, freshly grinding the beans... the ritual of it became really soothing!

Milk, creamer, and sugar easily mask poorly made coffee, so I started drinking it black to see how I was doing and what "notes" I could taste bean to bean. It has been a fun hobby!

I still drink dark roast and condensed milk in Vietnamese Coffee, but these days I always drink light and medium roasts black.

I got into black coffees through iced black Americanos because ommmg espressos flavour is fricking magnificent when there's a bit of ice and water to dilute, it has these notes that u can't enjoy when u drink it with sugar or dairy. That's not to say I don't enjoy it with those things as well but seriously trying black iced Americanos is what altered my brain chemistry and did it for me so I'm now able to enjoy coffee black

I made that flip when I tried cold brew. I used to be a 10% coffee 90% creamer and sugar girl. Now I'm a cold brew on ice with a splash of vanilla syrup. I can't even go back now. WAAAAY too sweet.

I like brown sugar and heavy cream in my coffee 🤷‍♀️ I don't drink any sodas or juice so I don't mind indulging in a cup of sweet coffee a few times a week.

Idk how others can hate on long discussions in reactions. It just shows how genuinely interested they are in these artists. In this platform full of fake reactors who are only after the clout and don’t offer input, these guys are a gem. Keep being you guys and you’ll surely attract viewers who will appreciate you.❤️‍🔥

one thing i've been doing this past month, that works extremely well even on a cheap coarsely grounded instant coffee that i actually hated, was to splash a bit of cold water enough to cover the grounds and stir for awhile.

once it looks like it's fully mixed in all together, i add the hot water. it actually smells more wonderful and far less bitter, with some hints of dark chocolate to the aroma, something i never smelled off this brand before.

while i still take mine with sweetened condensed milk, it clearly tastes a whole lot less bitter this way. i'm actually tempted to try it black to give it a try.

My coffee journey also started with Starbucks Frappuccino’s! And I basically did the same thing that the teacher here did - it went down to macchiato’s with syrup in them, cappuccino’s - and now I’ve reached the point where I can’t wait to treat myself to an espresso halfway through my morning!

I've loved plain black coffee since I was a child. Bitter is amongst my favorite tastes.

i have black coffee with jam toast and that helps cut the bitterness :) also i drank black tea before, so that kind of prepared me for the bitterness
