+1 for the curls. For a very long time I ignored them but when I included heavy curls to my training, I broke my weighted pull-up/chin-up plateaus.

Hey Alex, I was wondering if you ever tried ring chin ups into pull apart essentially you do a chin up on the rings and at the top you pull apart the rings so you end up in back double biceps pose. It’s intense, lights up your entire back!

I saw a lot of calisthenics athletes in italy using pullup to forehead instead of chin as a variation, like a really super lat focus beginning of the movement partial to assist the pullups. Try to investigate a bit if you want Alex

170lbs pull up is crazy man! Congrats! I was wondering if you watch Micha Schulz, the dude recently did a competition in germany where he hit 77.5kg chin up/127.5kg dip/215kg squat. You often talk about weighted calisthenics competition lately, I think you could very well in it. Hope you can find a competition near Montreal.

Weighted ring pull up/chin up helped me a lot with weighed chin up, i hit a PR sooner than i was thinking i did 55kgs weighted chin up in the first time in my life.
