Our identity is in Christ not a church building, pope and extra. Since when is being born again, being a follower of Christ synonymous with being catholic.

Being a christian is accepting Jesus Christ as our Savior and forgiveness for our sins as He alone took it upon Himself the sins if the world. Being a christian is placing your trust in Him. Confession with your mouth and believing in your heart that He says who He is and died. Salvation was offered the moment we accept the call. My identity is in Christ Jesus not a building, not a man, not denomination.

Since when do you have to be apart of a collective group to prove that you belong to Christ. You don't.

Jesus Christ didn't complicate things. He simplified them. The in errand Word of God is not up for debate. Anyone can accept the call you don't need to become a anything to be apart of Christ Jesus.

If people are telling you have to be catholic to be saved run away. Fir any denominations the same thing. You need a body of believers to build you up and keep you accountable but God in His might and wisdom will guide you through.

That final slide is maddening.

Here is the thing.

Christ could be mentioning several different things here, and how on one interprets this verse, determines thier theology.

This Brother's theology interprets "The Rock" as a "Profession of Faith that Jesus is The Christ".

As I understand it, Catholic theology claims "The Rock" is Peter as the Chief Apostle and trace their authority back to Peter for their authority

L.D.S. Theology states that "The Rock" is Continual Revelation from God through ordained prophets apostles and Priesthood authority.

Wrestling fans know that "The Rock" is Dwayne Johnson, who has the most electrifying move in sports entertainment...

AND John 3:16 is the Same thing, God so loved the world, He gave his son Jesus, Who ever believeth in Jesus, will Not perish, but have everlasting life. This is what Jesus built his church on. It is what Peter said or confessed. That is why John 3:16 is so important and popular.
