Why I Stopped Praying the Rosary (as a Catholic)

Why I stopped praying the Holy Rosary as a Catholic. The prayer consists of the Apostolic Creed, 53 Hail Marys, and 6 Our Fathers.

Rosary is for the humble…as a catholic when u r spiritually mature one will realise the most powerful and most humble prayer one cud pray is the holy rosary…many believe its a prayer to mother mary but that is just a small part of the rosary…the exorcist priest still use rosary as the most strongest weapon against evil….never stop reciting rosary… humble in christ can seek the kingdom of heaven

So l, you didn't stop, you judt start doing it right. The intention is to meditate on the life if Jesus through the eyes if his mother, Mary and through her joyfull, sorrowful, glorious and luminous mysteries.

Absolutely agree. Long repetitive prayers shouldn't be seen as prayers but more of fasting from own thoughts. If you want to pray, let your heart pray as well, not just repeating words.

Yes that’s the right way to pray it which is meditating on Jesus’ life. I do believe that the Rosary is a powerful in so many ways

I disagree with your reasoning. The Hail Marys are supposed to keep you in a prayerful rhythm. It matters not to God how many you say but how deep in a state of prayer it puts you in. Use the Hail Marys to help enter into a deep state of prayer rather than saying them because of the thought that God cares about how many you say.

When I was little I learned the Hail Mary from my grandma. She would read each line and have me repeat after her. When she came to “and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus Christ” I always envisioned a bowl of fruit in my mind. 😂

The devil wants you to stop praying the Rosary. The more you say the Rosary the closer you are to Mary.

A great tool to aid the rosary is getting a scriptural rosary booklet to really familiarize yourself with the mysteries and the accompanying passages. Then you can use the ave Marias as the drumbeat to that meditation.
