I believe that there's a fine line between honoring Mary as the mother of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and forgetting all about the fact that we are all sinful and need saving from hell. If we put Mary first and just have Jesus Christ as our second place party favor we turn our backs on the one who gave everything so we can have eternal life.

Hail Mary, the LORD is with thee. * I'm grateful & blessed by Mary's yes. God does everything He does, in the way He does, for a reason. He chose to give us our savior through Mary, a virgin, for a reason. I can't imagine having an angel, Gabriel, approach me at that young age & having the faith Mary had to say "YES", especially during a time when she'd be her life would've been at risk.
