For the non catholic Christians, catholics DO NOT worship Mary or the Saints. The prayers sent to the saints and Mary are literally us asking them to pray for us in addition to the prayers we say. In simple terms, it's like applying for a job, so you ask your friend that works at the company to put in a good word for you.

I think it’s a fair estimation to say that around 80% of Christians are part of a denomination (Catholic, Orthodox, Some Protestant churches) that venerate saints. That’s a whole lot of Christians practicing an occult practice. Of course this isn’t an argument by itself, but I think it needs to be considered if you believe what this man believes. In addition, I have been to the Catacombs in Rome that date back to as early as the second century. There is clear evidence in these Catacombs that the earliest Christians venerated saints. If this is wrong, Christ allowed his Church to fall into an occult practice for nearly its entire history to this day. It’s just hard to believe.
