The many reasons a computer may not power on, boot fully or simply crash. Almost everything shown here is something I've experienced at some point in my life with personal builds as well was when repairing while running my own business.

Another common error is using an old bios and getting a new CPU. Only choice to correct is get an old CPU to flash the bios. Careful of incompatible CPU/motherboard combinations

My pc wont turn on but the little orange lights turn on but the vans don't spin i removed my gtx 1060 then my pc turns on and the vans spin and the led lights too but when I put it back in it wont turn on or spin the vans can you help me please.

My friend is having the same problem, we thought it was the psu but we took it off and power tested it with a battery tester, and all the fans and lights started turning, but there was no screen that showed up on the monitor, and when we plug in the 24 pin and try to turn it on with the case button it still doesnt work

Something's wrong with my motherboard I think at home it has no power no lights no fan spin nothing but when I carried it to the repair shop it turns on like normal carried it back home and nothing no power still I have no idea what's wrong

My pc is getting power (getting power led) but it doesn't turn on ( no fans spinning no signal nothing) i tested the power supply and it worked but when i try to turn on the pc with the switch or even with a screw driver it doesn't react, and i thought it is the motherboard but i don't know. What about this scenario. it turned off by itself and won't start. Appears to be dead, but you can charge devices using a usb cable on any port. That multi-card reader nobody ever used is glowing like a christmas tree, but for all other intents and purposes, it's dead. The specs are not entirely certain as it's a third hand old P4 about 10-15 years old... Do you consider that a dead bios battery or a motherboard failure? I'm inclined to think motherboard failure, yet I've heard it could be the bios battery on some models.

My motherboard rgb turns on. Every cable is connected correctly. Ram works.trsted on other pc. What could it be.

My motherboard lights up with my psu plugged in but nothing else turns on, any idea why?

I connect power switch cables correctly I think. But the power switch flashes blue and red ??? Also a few times this past month the board loses power and I take out CMOS battery and put back in, the PC works fine but still power witch flashes blue/red. Just today again I was on computer and when I got back home AGAIN now power to PC ? 🤔🤔🤔 is this a MB issue or poor CMOS battery ?

I have an hp8300 after I setup my ssd and tried to boot from it my pc kept going to a boot window so I left it alone for a bit.

Then after it would power on but the only thing would happen is the fan was extremely loud.
and now it just doesn’t boot up at all but the motherboard light comes on when there’s power.

Hello Ihad a power surge. My PSU fried so I had to get a new one. If I plug the SATA cables in the hard drive, the 24 pin into the motherboard and reset the CMOS will the PC boot up?

Pls help me out. Before I press the power button everything that should be lit up inside the motherboard has lights. But when I press power, the cpu fan only twitches for an instant and I see two brief flashes of red light and no more. The PSU isn't responding either. What could be the issue? I really am desperate and at a loss 😭

i have a b550 ds3h motherboard and it is connected to power, the power supply works, when i plug in a usb stick it lights up but when i try to turn it on there are no lights, no fans spinning, nothing. even trying to trip the power with a screwdriver doesnt work so idk whats going wrong.
