Literally the first thing I thought to do was your last idea. Start with the simple things and work your way up, to verify it isn't the connection to the power button is as simple as shorting two pins with a screwdriver.

Paused at 0:10 The moment you hear no Power... Do not plug in the pc. The PSU might fry everything. First isolated the main important components and test those separately. That includes shorting the PSU
sense or pins to test if it powers on at all. After that you can test everything else

Top tip; if the case has a RESET button the first thing you do is plug the RESET line into the POWER switch and tap the RESET button.

Gives me a little hope…. I was playing fn and then woke up the next morning and pc wasn’t turning it, I gotta take it in to a repair shop this Monday, although money be a struggle these days

This is pretty common on diy work we get in the store. Customer knew a guy who could do it for cheaper, ended up messing something to us then angrily bringing it to us

On an MSI motherboard, the cmos is called JBAT1. These are two pins located in the middle of the motherboard. Touch them for 10 seconds with a screwdriver and it could work turning on your PC.

facing a really unusual problem with a gigabyte p650b psu, it runs fine no issues at all unless i unplug the pc, after replugging the pc it wont power up for 20 min (so no power at all not fans lights nothing ), secondly if leave the pc on and it goes to sleep wont power up also unless unplugged and replugged + the20 min.... but if i clikc on sleep option instead of leaving the pc to go to sleep on its own it works fine no problem so confusing not sure where the issue ...(all connections are double checked )

Yes, exactly that happened to my phanteks p200a. Found it out the same way, turning it on with a screwdriver gave me the hint
