biggest thing to always keep in mind for most, if not all, gacha and single player games is the account you're playing is your account. You're the one playing the characters and farming the materials. No one gets to dictate what your account does or has but you. There's no competition, leaderboard, or any other comparison meter you need to think about outside of "which of my characters does best in this mission"

this video really means a lot to me as someone who legitimately can't do anything financially related so being told to just "go for whoever you like" does a lot
when zhu yuan came around i was like "damn, i really want to get her!" but at the same time i contemplated getting her and wondering if i was gonna be liking her a lot-- sure i liked her character as a whole but at the same time she didn't have the same spark that i did when it came to either anby, ellen or grace

This is my 4th gacha now. I have followed this waifu over meta philosophy 99% throughout all said games, and it has ALWAYS maximized my enjoyment AND rolling funds. It saves you potential disinterest in the game and also your gems/whatever stay in healthy supply because you become naturally picky.

best part is that I've also always been able to clear late game content. people are too afraid of meta pulling because they think they won't be able to but that's literally never true. Late game is always just a factor of being dedicated to playing the game a lot. Which again, is naturally really easy if you only play with what you like.

Thank you for this video, this is the reason why out of all the content creators around ZZZ you’ve been my favorite. As someone who has their small share with gatchas in the past coming into a mihoyo game I was appalled by the amount of “I have to spend money to stay relevant/meta” I saw coming from the community. I enjoy your approach of “I know what I like and want but at the same time I’m financially responsible” which is how I approach gatchas as well.

I really appreciate your advice. Youre definitely one of the best zenless youtubers since you do things from a perspective that DOESNT say "please spend thousands of dollars on this game to stay on top" (which has helped me actually slow down my spending personally).
Im taking the advice. Built my ice team with Ellen/Lyacon/Souzaku that I super enjoy and going to have my other team be Zhu Yuan/Jane Doe/Nicole since with both teams I love all the characters AND how they play.

Couldnt agree more. I had a solid pull plan for the next 4 characters, but once i saw Jane's jiggly puffs I knew I was pulling. Assmen unite!

As many people loved to complain about at the start, the game is "Too Easy". So take advantage of that and just play whatever dumb sub-optimal thing you enjoy. The defensive mechanics of the game are universal. Once you learn dodge and parry timing, you can kinda brute force any character you want.
Heck I only really have 2 halfway built characters I like, so I just run a 2-man team and spam bangboo chain attacks. MAYBE I'm having a rough time cuz of it, but who cares, its fun.

I love being a free to play gacha player because I love the rush of seeing what I can get by maximizing in game rewards. There's a fun aspect behind the chase of "Will my pulls pay off?" and doing everyting you can during the banner instead of just pulling out my wallet and just paying for all of the characters I want. No shade to those that have to ability and desire to do that, but that's why I love these games.

This is such an awesome and important video. We all need a reminder that we should just have fun with a game even if we already know it.
I am lucky to have everything i want in zzz (so far) and enjoy the game for what it is.
Sadly, i have another gacha game i am torn on because i am panicking about who to save for and how to be the most efficient that it isnt fun anymore, and i am not playing the game how i want to play it. Sadly, i like a bunch of the characters, and i can't have them all. but that misses the point. i should be able to play the game with or without all the characters i want, with or without being meta. I should just have fun, and it is too easy to get caught up in the gacha and (unintentionally) the content creators talking about must haves.

Fwiw, i think this is one of the best gacha channels in reminding us not to feel like you have to whale, and you can have fun casually.
