I've been using one for about 2-3 years and I weigh 110kg, it does damage above your door frame, just make sure it's done up right and isn't loose and you shouldn't run into any problems

I’ve been using that same pull-up bar for over 10 years. The foam grips are all compressed down, but it is still sturdy. I think I had to tighten the screws once. It’s way better than those shower curtain rod pull-up bars that fall off. You can also put it on the ground for push-ups. Different grips, good if you have a wrist flexibility problem.

There is supposed to be a hinge attachment that comes with the pull up bar so that the head of the doorframe can hold the pull up bar

Great analysis. I recommend anyone just to get a dip stand. You may not get greatest range of motion but you can do muscleups, chinups, dips, etc.
