Not an ingrown hair. It's a hair splinter. Stylists and barbers get them all the time lol

As a former cosmetologist, I can assure you this is absolutely a real thing, with the exception of it not growing as it is not a hair that belongs to the patient. Dependant on the customer, the hairs are not unlike little shards of glass or slivers of wood and as hair is being cut, it easily becomes lodged in the skin of the service provider. Many a day over the course of my 30 year career, have I tweezered out hairs anywhere from my hands to my chest to my feet.... Good times

No this is not fake. I have had this several times over the almost 50 years of my hairdressing career.

My sister is a dog groomer and spends a day a week pulling dog hair out of the skin between her fingers. I occasionally get a hog hair stuck in my hands from my piggy nevilles coarse mohawk from top of head to midspine. Thats where they take the hair for boar bristle brushes. Rest of his hair is soft and not sharp.

I got a hair splinter on the bottom of my foot once and I didn't even realize it was one for the longest time because I was so used to my feet hurting so bad all the time after a long day of work and I thought it was just a particularly bad day on my right foot XD but then I looked closer at my foot when I was getting so tired of the piercing pain I was feeling every time I walked and it was a hair in my skin. Instant relief when I got it out.

When I was a hairdresser while wearing sandals at work, I would on occasion get a little hair sliver. They were so annoying. Had to pull it out with tweezers.
