What about the modem? You were talking about modem & router in one unit, so wouldn't the modem be needing updating too? What modem and router do you recommend with the best of everything? And don't tell me it's about how much I want to spend....I need uninterrupted, no buffering wifi and internet.

I have a Netgear R7900P connect to Netgear CM1000 (cable modem) but would like to upgrade the router to TP-Link AX11000. Do I have to factory reset the cable modem? I did a quick "swap" but it didn't work. Thanks!
