It's important to know that this isn't a bad thing if it happens to you. Your are not a freak or a stalker most people experience this but don't talk about it. Just try to keep yourself occupied, and avoid being on social media all the time. I'm going through this right now, and it's difficult but something that works out in time. Be that, moving on from them or eventually going out with them. Try and think of yourself a bit more! Do more with your day and do things for yourself and not your crush

Look, most of the time, you become obsessed is because you're still in a state of constant unknown of whether your crush likes you or not. Just be assertive and honestly tell your crush that you like him/her. If your crush says "I like you too" great, and if he/she rejected you, well....it might sting a little but at least your mind can finally rest in peace now and move on instead of constantly thinking whether your crush likes you or not.
