At the beginning of my marriage I spoke with my husband that I could not continue with the overwhelming amount of money going to overdraft charges to our bank account. When we dated, we did not fully disclose the debt we brought to our marriage until after we were married. Of course now if we could go back we would have started with Dave's money plan before we were married. We are now Baby Step Millionaires. Thank you Dave for your Godly Advice and Wisdom with finances!!

Number one These two are great together! Another duo I love is Dave and his daughter. She can lightly pick on him and balance it, lol

The single mom with 2 kids should look at working at her local ymca if they have one near by. I used to work in the child watch rooms which members could use for free for up to 2 hours while they worked out. I watched peoples kids and was able to bring mine to work with me. I usually worked 4 -5 hrs a day.

You better run, caller 1. It ain't no joke when they start off lying right out of the gate.

My dad weaponised the powder/butt argument, my whole life, which is bs, that was my mom all day. Now he’s 80 and I’m trying to get his affairs in order but he clams up. I understood he was not ready to hear it, so I’ve back down and have all the tools ready so when we have the conversation, I’m ready and I can help him out

Ken is much more comfortable hosting with John than Dave. and he’s not interrupted all the time.

She definitely withheld that student debt. She should have found a job working from home to pay that debt or take on odd jobs. Personally, I was very upfront with my ex-husband about my debt. I also work jobs to pay it down as well. It wasn't an issue for him because he knew I was responsible enough to pay it. He even offered to help but of course I refused because that's not the way I was raised. I continued to pay my debt. Eventually, we divorce for other reasons. Honesty is always best. You'll be surprised with how far just being honest will get you. We are still cordial to this day. I always encourage people to disclose it before that person falls for you so that they can make an informed decision. You wouldn't want someone to hide that from you.

14:55. The caller only “admitted” the problem when he found it. That’s like “admitting” that you were having an affair when your spouse finds you in bed with someone else. You don’t get credit for that. That’s regret, not repentance. That’s why she hasn’t changed in two years.

When it comes to parents, it’s in a child’s best interest to have these convos with parents. When parents are irresponsible with their money, eventually they turn to their responsible children for help when they hit rock bottom.

The caller that was speaking about his parents financial situation I can truly relate to, not as far as my parents, but as for my daughter & myself. She is the reason I chose to get my life in order, because I did not want her worried about me, but more than that, I never want to be a burden to her. She does not deserve that. She has watched me and is not taking care of her own financial journey
