High school student Tally Feingold is a textbook over-thinker. In her TEDxLFHS talk, Tally discusses how the concept of “the butterfly effect” helped her develop healthy rationals for evaluating her decision-making processes and rescuing her from being trapped inside her own head. It is said that too much mental thoughts are bad for health. I'm a over thinker, especially at night. I think I need to stop judging myself and my past. It's okay if I am not one hundred percent perfect!

Userful video. Be careful what you feed your mind. Avoid comparing yourself with others, avoid storing bottled up emotions, reduce watching negative social media and avoid constipation as it affects the mind. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives relief from stress and overthinking. For a relaxed mind observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils and within the nostrils for 5-10-15 minutes or more. You can sit on a chair or lay down anywhere, be as still as possible, eyes closed but no deep breathing. Don’t fight your thoughts. Make it a lifetime habit to observe your breath before sleep, when travelling, when reading, at the workplace etc, if needed with eyes open. Best wishes--Counsellor.

I’m an overthinkertoo. Just let those thoughts flow and they wi Th go away faster. Don’t pay them any mind, don’t act on them, don’t give them any more attention than needed. Just let them flow and let them go. If they become irrelevant they stop occurring so often.

Our brains love to overthink in an attempt to solve imaginary problems it creates; which is why it's so important to calm the mind. Meditation is cool, as is mindfulness for giving it some down time. I like the workbook on amz called 30 Days to Reduce Stress by Harper Daniels, and the Tao Te Ching for reminding myself that the brain is needs to slow down.

I experienced the same thing yesterday when I was preparing for an exam. When I heard dramatic music, I imagined what would happen if the exam went wrong and that's when I started believing that just because I imagined that would happen, it would happen, and I was unable to concentrate on my studies. It is a very important medical school entrance exam. please wish me luck and pray for me.
