I heard someone say this on YT (sorry that I can't remember who/where): "Emotions are like children riding in the car. You can't let them drive, but you can't shove them in the trunk either."

Your videos are the reason I haven't killed myself, and I am not even saying this as a joke or a meme, my life has been going downhill but you introduced me to philosophy and psicology, it just helps me calm down, take a breath and think rationally about what to do... Thank you

"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and see it through no matter what."
-Atticus Finch

I think of this quote by James Baldwin: "It seems to me that the whole effort is not avoid suffering, or the inevitable deformation which one encounters in a life, but to use them—to use one's suffering to understand the suffering of other people. And to understand that though you have lost some things because you were born when you were born, where you were born—because of who you became: you've gained some other things. It's adolescent—I think—to look back and wish it had been different. You've got to make the most, precisely, of what it [life] is."

fear is the killer of imagination for a child, especially in school. we can relate imagination to free thinking, but when shunned and ridiculed for thinking freely, using their imagination, for not conforming to what is considered to be mainstream, the norm or widely accepted, the child is faced with fear and is to frightened to express freely their imagined desire, afraid they will be cast out, considered different, when in reality they are unique.

empower a child to use their imagination, relay to them their uniqueness, encourage it and you'll notice how the child transcend their energy on to other children

it's imperative from an early age.

sending out the love ♥️

I almost passed on watching this video bc I was afraid I’d confirm how much of a coward I am, but I watched it despite myself. I’ll just have to take it one step at a time. Success to anyone else grappling with fear.

Also, cowardliness often correlates about being powerless thus your emotion adapts being accepting you are weak with ego combined but in reality it's just your fight or flight response because your psyche seek comfort over courage.

I will not use rationalism to overcome my emotions. And I will not let my emotions to overcome my rational process. Between the two stand my actions.

I see courage as a question we ask ourselves: how much negative emotion are we willing to experience? The more emotional or physical pain, fear, anxiety and discomfort we're willing to feel, live through and embrace, the more courageous we will be. It ties in nicely with a theme of acceptance, and I've personally found this way of thinking about courage incredibly helpful in my own life.
