In this episode, you'll learn 15 high-protein, low-carb foods that will keep you full from one meal to the next and help reduce snacking. Protein is the most important out of all three macronutrients - carbohydrates, protein, and fats.

Your body needs adequate protein to build and repair muscle, bone, and other connective tissues. By eating enough protein and strength training, you'll increase your lean body mass and boost your basal metabolic rate. You'll burn more calories naturally and weight loss and maintenance will be much easier.

Note: Reshape Physical Therapy and Wellness evolved into Weight Loss for Health, and finally Zivli. How to Lose Weight After 50 was our first course that eventually grew into Zivli. Some old blog posts or resources mentioned in this episode may have been removed.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I knew I needed more protein but needed more options than just red meat and chicken. Dr. Morgan's food list was perfect and I love all the foods she talked about. Now I have so many more options to get my required 130 grams of protein every day, which is not an easy thing to do!! Thank you Dr. Morgan.

Great list! I have found some beef and turkey jerky that is very “clean” on Amazon from Chomps company... love how convenient it is for those busy days

Does it bother you most of the nutrients, protein, vitamins and minerals are barely available to your body because of the fibers and antinutrients in plant foods .

Love your video! I love edamame. I've also been increasing my red meat intake right after my menstrual cycle for a few days. I normally will have some short of beef & it has drastically increased my energy level & my periods are less painful each month. 👍

I think it’s a little ignorant of you to not recommend a food just because you don’t eat it. Soy is a great source of protein, anyone who likes it should definitely eat more soy products.
