I would like to acknowledge all of my fellow brothers that slice, then watch countless YouTube videos, then convince themselves it's going to work, then get all get to the range and still slice. I weep with you my brother's

Chris, went out today and played 9 holes. Didn’t miss a fairway probably 15-20 yr increase in distance. Been playing and fighting swinging over the top for 40 yrs.
BEST lesson in history.

This is absolutely spot on for my issues. Best lesson I've found on youtube for me.

I'm in the same category as the rest, over the top, poor contact on heel and toe with wipe outs far right or hard, straight left with the driver. Perfect explanation and instruction for practice drills to get the feels. This is definitely the best explanation of how most amateur golfers hit the driver. We have it backwards in the downswing. I saw another instructor talking about the same thing the other day, but most do not tell it like you have. Thanks Chris

The most concise combination of the over-the-top move description and solution I have ever seen. Very powerful. Thank you Chris

Tried this recommendation on the course today. I 4:16 hit the ball farther and straighter than I have in years!! Was not embarrassed by my distance today, and I kept it in the fairway. Thank you for this video!

Thank you Chris! Your explanation was spot on to what I have been doing, similarly to your BIL, hitting that fade to slice shot off the tee. This video along with the one on how to hit with more power (putting weight/getting "heavier" on the front leg and exploding up) has made a huge difference in my distance and confidence. It amazes me how it sometimes takes a different voice to see and understand and your point of view and explanation resonnated very well for me and my understanding of the swing. I have been playing on and off (good and bad) for over 34 years and your explanation finally made sense - I had been told to keep my back to the target longer before, but not explained why and the effects it has on the swing. Thank you!

You described my drives to a tee...either big slices or 20 yards off the heel into the rubbish! I can't wait to try this at the range.

Chris thanks for your clear messages in the video’s. An eye opener for me - was just turning in my shoulders way too early. Even my pro never really told me that as clearly as you showed in yr video’s. Thanks from a ‘frustrated’ senior golfer who was struggling with distance, consistency and slicing.

i have seen you mention this concept in a couple of videos now, and whilst I cant say i have perfected it I have noticed through recording myself that this is exactly my biggest issue and one that seems to be missed by other golf instructors. It makes perfect sense to my tiny brain and when i get it right I can see it helps cure a number of issues such as a small chicken wing after impact, hands not really ahead of the ball at impact and my right elbow being closer to my right side during the downswing/turn. Seems a logical idea when i see it explained and I am lost why i havent seen anyone else mention this. Thanks for the videos!

Another great lesson. I think a lot of amateurs have been mislead by the notion that the big muscles of the legs and back do all the work, and the arms are passive. Watch any professional golfer hitting drivers in slow motion and you will see where the speed and power come from.

I quite agree - yet another absolutely brilliant lesson, Chris. The understanding and insight into the golf swing which you impart is second to none!

I am playing Riviera CC in LA in early October and plan on practice and playing the next few weeks intently. I'll give this a try and report back. Good vid!

Well here is an update.
I used you drills that over emphasize rolling of the wrists and keeping my back to the target as I start my backswing. Now this is only at the range today, but the difference was simply remarkable! Not only did my irons and metals go straighter with some a slight draw, but the biggest takeaway for me was more consistently good contact!
I am playing later this week, and am so encouraged!
Thanks again Chris for giving me simple and uncomplicated drills to improve my game.

Great lesson as always Chris. My son is 14 and just made the high school golf team. He's been watching a bunch of your videos, however he's not been working on these specific drills which I believe are key to understanding how important technique is in this game.

I tried this tip today and what a difference. Straight drives, longer shots all around. Thanks Chris!

The motion this man is trying to explain is what was holding my swing back for many many years. I was a perpetual slicer for turning my body way too early, trying muscle through the shot. finally I figured out you almost feel like you are not turning and whip/snap the club at the ball then let the club carry your body around after impact.

This made a lot of sense and is simple to grasp. I’ll be practicing this down the range. I hit irons well with lag. This doesn’t work for driver. Many Thanks

I wish you could break down the video in segments for each drill explained so I can take the video to three driving range and practice exactly everything drill. What I mean ideas when I'm at the driving range, or even in my backyard, I could click on your video by the teaching segments & the drill segments. Thanks so very much for this video. I am 72 and have always had this same problem you so distinctly explained but until today watching this video I have never ever been told what you have said. I've just been tooled I'm swinging too much outside to in but no matter how hard I tried to change that I never could. I'm excited to go try your drills. Thanks Soo very

Struggled with huge slices for years. Watched this video and immediately started hitting straight drives and shot one of the best rounds of my life.
