Daily #Blender Tip: Slicing objects in sculpt mode is useful after you’ve created a base mesh, as sculpting on separate parts can often be easier and more efficient as the separate objects can have higher Face counts. In this video we look at how to slice using masks. #B3D

It could be a nice quick way for a crashing object animation. 👍

how do you open the alternate tool option when you click the Box Mask tool? I only have access to the Box Mask but I can see a tiny arrow, just can't open it. Using Blender 4.0

Thanks for this wonderful tutorial. PLS help me out; when i slice my object following your procedure the masked part of the object would scale up to 2 times bigger than the unmasked part.

Many thanks for the tutorial. I'm quite new to Blender, so I'm sure there's something I'm doing wrong, but I have followed all these steps, but the mask does not happen. By this I mean that I drag the line, and it looks like it's going to be fine, and then... nothing. The mask is not made, the object is unchanged. I wonder what is happening. Is there some box I haven't ticked?

I have a question that may be a good idea for a future video: is there a way to use shape keys in blender to allow for something similar to the morph target nd morph brush in zbrush?
