I had this happen to me with an older ex co-worker. Made complaints twice and this person was tipped off twice. The last time I was threatened by them with retaliation and I never went to management about it again.

They made fun of his status. Even said he needs to watch his tone when speaking. One said they think he made up his status. But if people are going to bully, they dont always say those protected characteristics. They are just going to bully. They know to not get caught.

How do you collect evidence of all this. That's the biggest issue. Proven that it's occurring. Most people don't collect evidence because they don't plan to make a charge of the conduct.

I experienced all of your said examples pertaining to bullying from my supervisor. I was able to obtain a witness statement of observed bullying. The bullying served the purpose of intimidating, blocking my report of S.A., and rendering me ineffective as credible. He succeeded. My conditions of employment were altered in the form of changing hours and also relocating me where my supervisors' superiors were located. Things became worse because he increased the intensity of the bullying and began to follow me and questioned co-workers - openly. My attempt at making an official complaint was denied to me. I was told "I had nothing" and being told my supervisor was not Targeting me because "he did not have the time." Is it illegal to block me from making a complaint by use of intimidation, threats, and gaslighting?

I've seen bullies who straight up interrupt a speaker and speak for them constantly and managers doing nothing about it - whole team cringes constantly about it
