I was bullied on the job, forced to write a statement. He continued to stalk me on and off the job, reported every episode. I was totally ignored. Eventually, I was strangled by the narcissistic coworker. Went all of the way up to the president of the LARGE corporation, told it happened off premises so it was none of their business. I was his 2nd victim. I have a suitcase full of documentation. I have contacted multiple attorneys to no avail. Corporation and union waited until the statute of limitations expired, so I was unable to file a lawsuit. I take mandatory annual training for incidents on and OFF the job. I am totally disgusted with the company and almost at retirement age and can't afford to quit. I'm also aware of others who have suffered the same within the company.

I have chosen to take lower paying jobs to avoid the BS but now here I am being bullied again, first time in decades! Right now I feel like going back to my high paying roles if I'm going to get the same BS in a low paying job!

Like the people who have commented below, my workplace also ignores, empowers and supports bullies despite having an anti-bullying policy and a plethora of evidence placed before them. Narcissists are the devil incarnate!

Good info Rebecca. Bullying is never a good thing. One needs to to stand up for oneself when encountering someone who doesn't treat you right. Although things in life aren't always black and white, so some discernment needs to be used.

I had a talk with my GM and she admitted that she knows the female co worker is a bully. It shocked me she said it like it was normal, she said it infront another manager I work with. He was shocked as well this has been going on for 2 years, I left due to this over a year ago but came back thinking things may change. I have been back for a year and slowly this female has gone behind my back tried to set me up for failed, lied on things, and keeping job information so when working on a job site makes it hard to meet dead lines. I left once and I’m looking into leaving again due to when this went on last time did take a total on my mental state. Going to the GM or our HR department does not work it is pushed under the rug.

They're really just bullying themselves, but because they can't do that, it's 'everyone' else, that's in the firing line.
They can never be wrong, so, it's all 'our' fault.
So I just see it for what it is, they are trapped behind bars, and can't call for help, because no-one will come, to help.

In response to your question, I was engaged in a family business with my ex marital partner for several decades! She was a tyrant, a bully, mean to our employees, and for the most part and absolute ass, when it came to working together in a business environment. It became an intolerable, insufferable and an impossible situation, and now the business no longer exists because she destroyed it. It absolutely sucked! 😱

I witnessed my coworker and only direct report being worked to death. She tried to get me to sign off on all this unpaid overtime and I wouldn’t do it and she started crying and she was really scared that I was going to report it. I reported it anyways, and I started getting bullied over the course of six months which culminated in the executive assistant serving my allergen in the water at the employee breakfast. I quit and one month later my direct report was dead. She died just 2.5 years short of retirement. Sometimes you are “running from” and not walking towards, and that’s okay. It’s okay to run from a beast.
