Yes you can get into a fat burning heart rate zone, sweat, strengthen & burn ample calories with power yoga and power vinyasa yoga flows, but if you want to lose weight and practice yoga you must accompany the practice with self-care and healthy habits off the mat. Yoga can be a wonderful practice for de-stressing, connecting mind with body, improving body awareness & learning to love yourself. And guess what? You can love yourself and be a work in progress at the same time! The term "Yoga for weight loss" is a high ranking SEO term, as in it is searched a lot. I use the term to reach a wider audience to help people who are looking for a way to lose excess weight and practice yoga at the same time. I know from personal experience how that feels, as I have lost 40 & 50 lbs from both of my pregnancies and the weight didn't just melt off after. It took at least a year of focused effort, exercise, healthy eating, a mild calorie deficit and this exact type of yoga for me to lose the weight and feel strong and confident in my body. So I created these videos to meet the viewers where they are, help them along in their weight loss journey and hopefully teach them self-love, strength & mindfulness along the way. 💙

I want to really thank you for making this video, and for making it free. I'm a 100% disabled american veteran, and upon my discharge I was unable to exercise. It's been about 14 years now, and my doctor says I can start slowly getting back into doing exercises. I chose this routine. Over these last 14 years I've gained about 80 lbs, and I really hope that by making this a part of my daily routine I will start to lose weight. Wish me luck, and again, thank you!

I have had anxiety and panic attacks my entire life. About two years ago a new medication caused me to have an SVT episode where my heart raced at nearly 200bpm for over an hour and EMTs had to temporarily stop my heart twice to get it back to a normal rhythm. I’ve struggled with exercise since, as every time my heart rate goes up I begin to panic. Trying to retrain my brain and body to recognize these sensations as normal and healthy is no small feat. Your yoga videos are helping me learn to stay calm while I face a very raw state of fear and I wanted to say thank you!

I love how you keep on telling us to strengthen and not to strain. Will try this tomorrow. Been doing the morning yoga routine since last month. I am still new to Yoga but I love how easy it is to understand your instruction even without looking in the video. Keep it up and more power. Namaste!

I'm 49 years old and have been overweight and experiencing lower back pain for 10 years now. I finally decided to give yoga a try. I found SBY and have been practicing daily with her videos fo a month. I am amazed at how much better I feel!! My body is getting stronger, I am no longer in pain, and best of all my anxiety is under control!! I cant recommend her videos/ member program enough!

This is truly the best yoga channel on YouTube. You are so focused, calm and thorough with your instruction. Your voice is both soothing and empowering at the same time. I was sweating more in this 20 min workout than I do on a 30 treadmill workout. 😘 Thank you. So glad I found this channel.

I did this video earlier today, then paired it with your fifteen minute calming yoga and I swear it is the first time in five years my left leg has fully extended out of my hip. Just wow. And now all day since I've been having these little releases EVERYWHERE this is so amazing

I started following and doing Sara Beth yoga 3 weeks ago after I started having severe back pain and it’s definitely helped. My muscles in my back are so tight and I’ve had a massage a week for three weeks and doing this yoga 5 days a week. I’ve struggled with back pain for a long time, especially at night in bed (back and hip) but it kicked up severely after I drove 7 hrs from Georgia to florida. I’m finally getting sone relief. Stopped the naproxen, Doans pills, and high dose ibuprofen since I noticed it just wasn’t helping, just killing my kidneys…. I’ve really enjoyed the yoga and gonna keep doing it instead of weights to see if it helps with my weight loss too. I’d love to see some meal planning ideas for post menopausal over 50 weight loss.

This flow was great. I've done several of your other videos, but this is my favorite so far. The advice to scissor your legs together during low lunge completely readjusted my pelvis after 5 years of serious pain, physical therapy, and chiropractic adjustments. Something majorly adjusted in my hips - so grateful for that tip! Thanks!

The other day I was looking for a beginners yoga videos. Found some, including this one. As I was doing this class, I kept thinking: "This is all cool but definitely not for beginners, i will comment on this video saying that.". I pushed through, feeling happier but exhausted. When I finished, i looked gor comment section and... boom! No word about beginners! I made a mistake with that but somehow managed to do this practice! Love it!

I love the fact that you repeat the same parts a few times in a row, gives me time to really feel comfortable with the poses and movements. I haven't find that in other yoga workouts on YouTube - I will definitely do more videos from your channel !

I watched several yoga videos on YouTube and yours stood out big time!
As far as I know you have the best videos😊

I started today! I did modified a bit and like she said don't strain. It's hard at first but it gets better 10 minutes in and all the sweat was worth it! It felt so good... thank you🙏🙏❤️👍👍

When she said “now let’s flow” I think my spirit broke 😅 I had to take child’s pose to wrap my mind around the fact I was sweating, body weak and the flow had not begun!! Let’s see if I get through it later this week.

I don't usually comment on videos but I just wanted to say that you did a fantastic job with this. I'm new to yoga and this is the first video I've found that actually helped me understand what to do with my body. You explained everything: how to do each pose, how to transition between poses, and when to breath. Thank you!

Thank you so so much. I'm not as excited to go sweat at the gym as my partner is so this was perfect!!! It wasn't an overwhelming hour and I could not believe how much I felt the 20 min the next day. I really enjoyed this . Thank you for helping a mom of 4 get her confidence and groove back!!!!
