Whenever I'm in a calorie deficit, these are my go-to low calorie food items PART 29

☕️ Coffee
- Pretty much 0 calories if you're drinking black coffee
- Helps suppress appetite and can increase productivity
- I normally find myself forgetting to eat when I'm drinking coffee as I'm normally occupied and sipping on coffee which helps
- Comes in many forms and very easily accessible

🍝 Cauliflower Gnocchi
- Per 136g: 130 calories, 26.9c 0.8f 1.6p
- Found these at Costco!
- Pretty low carb per 100g and surprisingly good
- Has a slight aftertaste of cauliflower, but they've nailed the texture
- Would recommend giving it a try!

🍗 Chicken Thigh
- Did you know that raw fat trimmed thigh per 100g is 104 calories whereas chicken breast is 98 calories? (Based off NUTTAB)
- So calories are actually extremely similar meaning you can still comfortably eat chicken thigh over chicken breast when in a calorie deficit
- Juicy and delicious
- Way better than chicken breast imo

I love kimchi, seaweed, and vegetables for low calorie foods.

I've found that foods with higher fibre or fermented foods keep me feeling good for ages ❤

Pro tip with the cauliflower gnocchi, use an air fryer. Texture is 10x better

Chicken thigh is ELITE. works in ever chicken dish so well and always so yummy and tender! Also very difficult to overcook imo. Fried chicken, butter chicken, chicken Alfredo, chicken katsu, teriyaki chicken, hainanese chicken rice etc.

My cold brew helps me fast most of the day. Typically I don’t end my fast till I’m home around 10pm-12am. At rare times I’ll head home early and get to eat around 6 or 8. But I usually eat a large meal and maybe a small low calorie dessert like a 80 calorie raspberry popsicle or a chocolate rice cake with a small cup of ice cream for a total of 150 calories, helps with the sweet tooth and fills me up. recently ate at a all you can eat buffet that was fancy and surprisingly cheap, had like four 6 ounce steaks and ate some other stuff to fill me up, some desserts that definitely weren’t low calorie but small enough to control the eating, all this to say it was a huge meal early on like 11am and just chose to not eat till the next day at like 10pm. Thanksgiving week I definitely gained like 5 lbs but just yesterday checked I’m already just 1lb away from back to prior to thanksgiving weight. Still wanna lose another 10lbs to get really shredded. But fasting is how I can eat a huge meal and be currently around 17% fat but planning to get to 12 maybe 10% depending how I feel

Coffee can legitimately be my main meal of the day 😂 as a dietitian probably not recommended but gets things done 👍

My secret low cal meal that tastes incredible is chicken burgers with a quinoa crust. I hate quinoa, but you’d think it was normal crust. I make them every week, sometimes as a chicken parm, buffalo chicken, spicy mustard, or will cut them up and put into Mexican salads. They have saved me from losing my mind to mundane, low flavor low cal meals. Also peanut butter powder mixed with vanilla Greek yogurt is amazing

I am looking to start gymming for a better life
I do consume a super healthy diet
Not too taste fanatic (my advantage)

But here is my weakness or threat of a sort
I dont knw how to use gym equipment
Super introverted i dont want to talk to ppl and disturb their workout

Can you start a series for gym beginners?

Decent height weight bmi in my control as of now

Bro I think you should try our country's coffee, Vietnamese coffee with Vietnamese style, Phin coffee. It's kinda strong, especially with non-Vietnamese so ... be careful :)))
