I have learned firsthand that training your gaze to serve your nervous system so that you feel that the world is working for you instead of against you - is one of the amazing benefits of regular yoga practice.

Guys, during this video last year my (now) husband proposed to me while I was in the middle of the Day 18 practice! And now here I am, I have a husband and I gave birth to our daughter in November. Wow. So crazy to reflect on!!!!❤❤❤

I don’t know if anyone else experienced this, but today made me realize how much I keep my eyes closed during my practice. It was definitely an effort to keep them open and did change the way I experienced the movement and the world. I was in a hotel room so when Adriene said find a place on the ground, it was more often the bed or couch. Not much uncovered floor here lol. Hope you all have satisfying, fabulous days! Namaste!

My period started late last night and I was woken at 5am by terrible cramps, so I wanted nothing more than to keep my eyes closed during that practice. But with my eyes open, I saw things in my room I'd never seen before - like the texture of the walls under the light of my lamp; the way the leaves diverge on one of my plants. Thanks Adriene for helping me take notice and appreciate the little things.

Using a soft gaze and not closing my eyes completely was so challenging, but I could feel the benefits of doing this. I was also thinking that this is a great way to take a mindful moment at work, while not being accused of napping! LOL Enjoy today's practice everyone!

Day 18 - Wow, that was tough. It took me over three hours to get out of bed today but I decided not to skip yoga even though it took a lot of effort!

What amazes me is the genius of Adriene as a teacher with the slow build-up of different skills each day. My 64 year old body walks (and even runs!) around the house with such ease and grace after 18 days of daily practice! Thank you! John Rogers, Germany

Haven't done the practice yet but just wanted to share this silly story with you all in case you are in need of a good laugh lol.

i was pretty tired before doing yesterday's practice and sometimes when im tired i mispronounce things in my head (weird i know) so im getting ready to do my yoga and I said to myself, "okay time for YOGURT with adriene" and immediately burst out laughing for about 10 minutes at the thought of a show on youtube where adriene reviews different types of yogurt. After I eventually ended my 10 minute bout of laughter I decided to get serious and actually start the yoga video, my brain once AGAIN mispronounced the phrase and this time it was "yogurt with alien" and I just completely lost it again. The thought of an innocent alien species that is obsessed with yogurt and made a whole youtube channel about it was absolutely hilarious to my tired mind lol.

anyway sorry for the random story but I literally dont know anyone who knows YWA, so had to share it with you guys!! Upon reading this back, I dont even know if its as funny as it was in my head lmao but it sure took away a lot of my stress as did yesterdays yoga practice so hopefully it does the same for you :) <3

As I was gazing down, my sweet cat was right there looking up at me with her eyes saying please stop doing yoga and pet me.😻 This was a much needed, beautiful, short practice that I thoroughly enjoyed. 🙏❤️

Had a very strange (magical?) moment near the beginning. When I could really relax my gaze, I kept seeing this light peeking out from under the whole edge of my mat. And when I tried to ‘see’ it, it would disappear. I would relax my gaze again and there it would appear again. I wouldn’t normally share such a strange thing, but I feel comfortable enough in this space to share something today that was perhaps ‘weird’ but wonderful. 🙏🏻

This one was a needed practice! I’m getting loads better at keeping up with the 7 am yoga sessions and having a better mood throughout the day. Thank you so much Adriene! And good morning to all you yogis that made it out to the mat today. We’re over half way there!!!

A beautiful practice today. Thanks so much. At first I thought we were going to sit for 19 minutes in meditation...A little heads up about how long we will be sitting or what is to come can ease uncertainty. Thank you.
