Hey guys! This is such a common questions, so I thought it would be a good idea to make this video and clarify it for many of you. A superset is when you do two exercises back to back with little or no rest between them. Sometimes it is with opposing muscle groups and sometimes with the same muscle group.

Do i start the second exercise after finishing the first one without taking a break, or i alternate one set from the first, one set from the second, one from the first, one from the second and so on

thank you; however, what I dont understand is if you have to do two exercises and each is 4 series of 12 reps, do you do all total 8 series back to back or do you rest every two sets?

When you work opposing muscle, for example row and without rest go right into bench press, that is called compound sets. super sets are the same muscle different exercise.

How do you do a series of supersets in a packed gym? Any advice? It seems dickish to use more than one machine at a time.

If I'm doing a superset of 3x10 tricep pushdowns and 3x10 lateral dumbell raises, would the super set have a rest before starting back at the first lift, like 1) Tricep, Lat...rest.... Tri, Lat....rest...Tri, Lat OR no rests whatsoever, such as 2) Tri, Lat, Tri, Lat, Tri, Lat with no resting between ANY of the sets?? thanks!!

Alex when you don’t super set does that mean you (example) you do a dumbell curl then wait 3 minutes and then do lat pull-downs and then wait 3 minutes again and repeat? I really need an answer

Oh. I’ve been doing supersets this whole time. I’ve been doing it to keep my heart rate up and I don’t know it had a name

So its better to superset different groups not the same muscle then ?? Like i do 4 sets 12 chest press 4 sets 12 tricep kicks its better that way ???
