as someone who came from a split parent household, both of y’all seem so loving and patient and she will definitely ALWAYS remember this when she grows up. You’re doing your best and that’s all you can do

Afew things worth mentioning that I really admired in this video:

*she doesnt mind her daughter living with her father or wanting extra time. It shows how mature and how much she cares for her daughters feelings. And that she is able to get over the fact that just because she had problems that it doesnt mean her daughter shouldn't be allowed contact with her father or able to see him

*Eventhough she said many times she missed her daughter she decided it wasnt her choice to look at her own feelings and base off them where her daughter should stay.
She looked at what her daughter specifically wanted.

*She also mentioned that she wasnt going to pretend to understand what it was like. This one really hit home for me as it's always "well when I was your age.." and "you're being such a snowflake.." etc.

Her daughter seems to have a wonderful mother especially since shes also staying sober for her. This mother truly is what ive always wanted.

A lot of co-parents i’ve seen have been really strict about schedules like that, but she asked to go back with her dad and even tho it was technically your turn to get her you did what would make her happy.

I was raised with divorced parents and by god I gotta say you are one damn good mom. My parents would never imagine letting me stay over at one or the others house for an extra day for something like a game system. My mom would’ve been so offended if I even asked. I grew up just feeling caught between two houses, never really at one or the other. You’re giving your daughter two homes she can call her own and actually live in. That’s so fuckin amazing.
