Interesting that YT showed me this video at this time. I’m a 70 yo woman who’s been able to squat on my haunches my entire life until very recently with a knee issue. So frustrating not to be able to easily fold into it, but working towards it. “You don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone”!

It's the Ankle mobility that I have the hardest trouble with. Would love to hear more ankle mobility exercises on top of what's in this video! :)

I just used a chainlink fence that surrounded a tennis court in a park. At first holding onto the chainlinks to keep myself from falling backwards. Then once I got down to the depth of the actual squat I kept pulling myself forward, maintaining comfort, but challenging myself into an ankle stretch.

🌸 as an Indian this is how most of us sit at times
Especially when I am camping etc, seeing chap working his way towards end result is so funny
This is something we did from childhood so it’s second nature

this really, really helps with tight hip flexors and back soreness that often goes along with being too tight

Thank you! Doing your squats on a mattress or thick mat helps in the beginning too.
