Hey Kevin! This is by far the best series of videos debunking Calvinism I've seen yet. Its really a service to us who cannot articulate these things as clearly, and feel defeated at times like mere peasants up against high reformed 'philosophers!' Thank you for taking the time to sift through the man made ideas and the truth!

Calvinism falsely teaches that man is so "depraved" and so "incapable" of believing the gospel, that God has to first infuse a person with the "gift of faith" enabling the person to believe. Calvinists also falsely teach that if man was able to generate faith in his heart to believe, then that would be considered a "work" giving man reason to boast of his salvation thereby "robbing" God of the glory and credit that is due Him.

You're right, and I always felt the same way. The problem is that Calvinists have a different definition of the word faith. They think faith and works are intertwined, and that faith is something we DO continually, so when we say we receive salvation through having faith, they immediately reject it since they believe salvation can't be earned. They're correct in believing that salvation cannot be earned, but having faith is NOT a work in any way. Having faith in Christ as savior is NOT "earning" salvation, it's only accepting God's free gift of salvation. Mixing faith and works causes nothing but confusion and all sorts of problems that they can't even explain

Hi Kevin, thanks for the edifying video! Just wanted to clarify your point on calling.
1) So is it God the Father who calls an unbeliever to hear the gospel and not the Holy Spirit?
2) If so, does the Holy Spirit only become involved after the unbeliever hears the gospel and then convicts them?
Thanks

Hey Kevin, maybe I missed something here. Titus 3:5 states that you reach the status of "saved" once regeneration occurs. 1 Cor 1:21, Acts 16:31, Rom 10:9 then state that you must believe to reach the status of "saved." If anything, you could make the case that regeneration occurs simultaneously to believing right? Otherwise you would have to say the order is not entirely clear amongst belief vs regeneration and chronological order. Would you mind clearing this up for me assuming I missed something? Thank you for your time.

Interesting, as to the Rapture issue-- as to it timing. I did the SAME process of gathering all the verses that discussed the Return, the Rapture, the Resurrection, The Day of the Lord, etc. and took the classical ones, the clear ones, then interpreted the obscure ones... and also coordinated overlapping points of clarity in each scripture. Out of this I found that the Historical Premillennial view, where the Rapture is at the Return (and the Resurrection, too) is the most biblically accurate view.
Only the Post Tribulation Rapture gets rid of all the presuppositions, and brings clarity t the issue.

When it says that God calls you it means that God has accepted you; It does not mean God calls your name verbally;

1:51 But when I looked up those verses in yellow I didn't see "called" or "translated into the kingdom" in any of them

1. The drawing of believers is an effectual call that isn't the enticing or alluring of people, its the effectual call of salvation. The Ordo Salutis is where you should be referencing. Romans 8:29-30 "And those who He foreknew, he also predestined, and those who He predestined, He also CALLED." that is the effectual calling or drawing. Its the Spirit because the person of God who is at work in the world and renewing hearts is the person of the holy Spirit. Whom the Father wishes to be saved, the Spirit makes reborn.

2. No Calvinist has ever said Faith is a work in the sense that you say it it, like it merits anything.. At the point of that quote, RC was not a Calvinist. We do say that faith is a gift, therefore you cannot have self-caused faith, and scripture continually drives that point home time and time again. 2 Peter 1:1, Philippians 1:29, and Acts 3:16. Also, do not divorce faith from works, because faith is trust, and actively trusting Chris is an action and a task. Its not merely a feeling or a thought.

3. You twist the meaning of Saved by the regeneration and renewing of the holy Spirit. That doesn't mean that's how it happens. Being saved "by" regeneration means that regeneration is the cause of believing and being saved. Its the rebirth by definition.

in my literal translation, my Afrikaans Bible, the bath of regenaration there is called the bath of the born again, then it points back to John3 and few other svripture... and Jesus that believe and be baptised, THEN yo wil be saved... nit be regenarated and believe and be baptised

You must STOP using the word in a direct simple as written form, STOP using simple logic, and above all STOP using simple truth. It confuses the heretics! :)

Calvinism is so destructive and makes God as the perpetrator of all evil.

Its sovereign grace then faith and regenetation. It works the same. There is human responsibility but not libertarian stupidity.

believing is not the way to get saved you have to also call upon the Lord and ask for Him to save you; that is how I got saved and I felt the Holy Spirit ( NOT A GHOST NEVER CALL THE HOLY SPIRIT A GHOST) fill me and I felt changed.
