I reverse mine! I cook most my meals and limit my carbs and intermittent fasting! I’m 61 and workout 5 x a week. And feel great. I allow myself 1 cheat meal a week

Since balancing carbs/protein/fiber and keeping GI in mind, i've lost 38 lbs and my a1c is 5.7. I also take inositol and berberine ☺

On 9/19/2023 I was diagnosed with DM2 with hgb A1C of 11.8, they put me on metaglip (metformin 500mg + glipizide 2mg) all in one pill, I took this for 2 weeks and it made me ill, my glucose level was always dipping, lowest I've gotten to was 48 and slumped down to the floor in the middle of costco, I took myself off of it and went plant base diet ... by 12/12/2023 I went to lab to draw update hgb A1C and it went down to 6.1 ... never going back to metaglip again ...

Thanks Doc for sharing these delicious meal plan, The last 4 yrs I have been diagnosed with diabetes, I have other health issues too, 3 weeks ago I decided to eat a plant based diet, I'm on week four now, few days after my diet, I don't need to take any meds, I'm feeling so wonderful.
I was never a big eater.

NOW u're coming to Jesus! Hallelujah! Low carb IS the answer! STILL quite low fat and that is why I wonder if it is going to reanimate my cravings. I will shop, try this and report. Lost 40Lbs on LCHF diet w/HbA1c of 6.6. Aiming to lower it to 5.2 and under.

Inspired! A small reminder - if those sweet potatoes are hard to come by - you can use ordinary potatoes - but boil them and then put them over night in the fridge, and warm them up gently in cubes in a pan with healthy fat, but don't give them a brown crust. It's not healthy. Info for example from Diabetes Stockholm.
I can use this plan for ideas though I'm a vegan-vegetarian mixer. *Thanks a lot SugarMDs!*
