TMJ stretches & exercises around the joint should help relieve TMJ pain. Start off with a simple side bend of your head to help stretch out the muscles in your neck. You can follow these with some gentle active range of motion stretches.

Now you will do a TMJ massage for some of the muscles that become tight when you have TMJ dysfunction. These are the Masseter muscles and temporalis muscles

The final exercises are isometric jaw exercises.

These TMJ pain relief stretches and exercises should help relieve TMJ symptoms and relieve the jaw pain associated with TMJ disorder.

Hii, I am from India and I had the same problem of Tmj pain. After practicing the exercises for 2 weeks that was provided in your video, my pain was totally relieved. Dr. Jo, thank you! It's been 2.5 years that I'm suffering from TMJ and nothing seemed to work, not even the nightgard. I tried many exercices previously, but the one that you are showing in this video worked for me. I have less pain and I can yawn without holding my jar! Thank you so much, you just don't know how grateful I am!

Dang I should've followed this exercise much earlier. I thought it wouldn't work, but I was wrong! I've been feeling uncomfortable for the last 2 months, but the pain went away after doing this exercise once. I can't express my gratitude enough. You're a life saver! God bless you🥰

I have had tmj issues since i was about 9/10 years old. They lessened for a few years but as of recently they are coming back as i have had to stop seeing my chiropractor and massage therapist thanks to moving. This video helped me immensely. Still some pain but i am able to be wayyyy more comfortable! A lot of these were things my chiro taught me to do at home and i forgot about over time! Thank you so much!

I've been having headaches quite frequently, and I think it's because my jaw tends to tense up a lot. I am really hoping these stretches and exercises help!

Thank you so much. Helped me instantly. I have been in lots of discomfort for past

Wow. No joke, I was having a pretty ugly headache but after the first set of stretches I got instant relief! I could feel the headache going away! I will definitely continue to do these stretches! I went to the dentist because my jaw was popping. She told me I had tmj last month, but I was skeptical because I wasn’t having headaches. She referred me to physical therapy but since I was skeptical I held off on it.. well my headaches started in the last couple of days :/ I’m so thankful for this video and these stretches from Dr. Jo :) I plan to follow up after a few weeks of these stretches for anyone else who may be having tmj pain.
