*For the people who are comparing this with the Indian version -*

In India, Maruti Suzuki makes car with poor safety to decrease their price. The Swift sold in India which is rated 2 stars for safety starts at ₹7, 00, 000 and ends at ₹12, 00, 000 while the one sold in Japan is rated 5 stars for safety starts at ₹14, 00, 000.

They do it because 95% of vehicles sold in India costs less than ₹14, 00, 000. If they'll release the one with good safety in India, it would barely sell due to the buying power of Indian customers.

Maruti Suzuki is not the only one who cuts the cost, Kia and Hyundai also do it. You can find the frame structures (of both global and Indian) of Kia Seltos online.

if you take into account that this car is under 1000 kg, it is really impressive.

Note that it's not an Indian version. In India Suzuki never test on their indian products.

From reading all the Indian comments here, I can only guess that Indian-made cars are literally deathtraps. I’m glad I drive a normal Swift, not an Indian-manufactred one. Though those wouldn’t even pass the tests here in Europe.

At 860 to 950 KG Kerb weight with thin metal sheet, this car is only for fuel efficiency indian Mentality"KITNA DETI HAI?".

NOT ONLY ABS AND AIRBAGS WILL SAVE, THE STRENGTH OF STEEL SHEET AND CHASSIS ALSO PLAY A MAJOR ROLE.

So this teenbka dibba will be successful in Indian market again due to "Kitna deti hai?" Mentality...

this was predicatable.
you dont make a car 120kg lighter only with a new wonderful plaftorm, there is a price to pay given such a big weight reduction.

Suzuki cars tested on Euro NCAP is different those on Indian roads. For example, European swift has a gross weight of 1365 while Indian made has around 900kg.

Do you realized that the head of the dummy remain trapped in the curtain airbag? This could led the driver to become tetraplegic.

European swift 3 stars
Indian 2018 Suzuki swift probably no stars

The indian 2018 suzuki swift will not be as safe as this European swift.
Its lighter, cheaper, less airbags,

no safty tech like auto emergency braking / radar braking and stuff

Maruti Suzuki is 3rd class when it comes to passenger safety. Thin light weight fragile body for the extra zip and milage compromises the safety.
