Ive had anxiety my whole life. Even when I was just a kid, 10 years old. I used to wonder why everyone else seemed so normal but I was always so nervous. In elementary school i would literally get a bathroom pass so that I could clear my throat because the idea of clearing my throat in front of the class was so daunting. Anxiety wasn't talked about much when I was growing up so I used to just say, "I'm socially awkward." I never understood why I struggled so much and everyone else seemed to be OK. It's nice to know that I'm not alone, I'm not the only one. Thank you for your wise counseling Julia 🥰

Just because you seem ok to everyone, doesn’t mean you truly are. Definitely noting these down 📝

Anxiety in the abscence of any threat is a horrible feeling.

The lack of confidence resonated with me. Fear of failure. I also spend an immense amount of time preparing for things and want to make sure everything goes PERFECTLY. I also feel the need to be in control because if I’m not, things won’t turn out the way I want them to.

My husband and I both have this. His extent actually makes him vomit! I worry so about him which makes my anxiety worse! We are both getting through it together!💞🙏

Wow, is that what's going on with me?! In the past year, I've taken up meditation, which has been very helpful. However, leaving comments on social media can sometimes hurt my ability to sleep.

I'm very much aware of my anxiety, but wasn't in the past. Really valuable share

This video describes me exactly! Chilling really...and comforting at the same time. I have struggled with the "stigma" of not being 100% myself...that self that was high functioning with "ease" - by now a little less high functioning with unease. Stigma - be gone...now to find the right work to do to find more ease with this challenge!

So appreciated this video my anxiety can be hard to manage-I didn’t realize that it had a lot to do with sleepless nites because the brain won’t shut down, but like many other issues I am definitely working on it. Thanks again for continually sharing these great videos and it’s good to know that I’m not the only one struggling with these issues.🙂

The quote "don't judge a book by its cover" really applies to high functioning anxiety. I think it is important to know someone more before making judgments because you may not know what they may be going through. When I am looking at a menu in a place like Starbucks, on the outside I look like I am really looking forward for my order but I am actually worried if people are making assumptions about me on the inside.
