Answering Leighton Flowers - 'Why Most Christians Resist Calvinism' Part 1

Leighton Flowers list reasons why the majority of Christians resist Calvinism, and attempts to justify his obsession of warning others about it. We examine the Decree of God in making people either believe or reject anything, and the concept of God working out His decrees without doing violence to the will of the creatures. We also look into the state of the apostate evangelical church, its current theological shallowness, and the effects generations of faulty evangelism have had on those who claim membership in its ranks. No matter how many times I have tried to correct Leighton, he simply will not admit to the difference between "ordain, " and "decree." God ordains (plans) that men will sin against Him, but He does not decree (command) them to do so. As such, God maintains ultimate control over men's lives, but it is men who are responsible for their sin.

The reason that God ordains the facts and circumstances of men’s lives as well as ordaining the mutable nature of men’s wills so that they willingly sin against God is because God often works through secondary causes to bring about His will – That is, God ordains situations that men may sin, so that God might demonstrate His wrath so that men might repent. (Isaiah 63:17, 64:7, 30:28, Psalm 81:11-16, 2 Chronicles 7:13-14)

Leighton also makes the grave error in thinking that everyone is automatically God's children merely by virtue of being born; he does not recognize that the vast majority of the world are born "children of wrath, " not "children of God."

Jeff, you should attempt to get in contact with Leighton and go on his show and discuss the issue. He’s done this type of thing with other Calvinists.

Wait, are you saying that God didn't decree/predestine Christians' resistance to Calvinism? I thought He decreed EVERYTHING that comes to pass.

most Christians reject calvinism because they read the bible,
God "decrees all ". but of course sin is so much more powerful than God that he cant decree sin,
