if I may give a humble advice as guitar player: there's a great risk of wasting a lot of time trying to find "the best" Amp Sim.
Pick one and stick with it :)

Guitar amps on vocals is something I've been doing for years. If you feel really experimental run a vocal through 6 or 7 of them, then re sample it and pitch shift for some really cool artifacting and textures

ever since I started using an MX stomp on my electronic rig. playing with amp Sims has been awesome. wold recommend, i just wish more of them were stereo

Everytime when I record with amp sims, I always get this euphoria. It sounds good and is easy on my neighbours. But then I compare the sounds to my real amps and my amps always sound better in the room. Amp sims are ok, but I would never use them for a actual record. And none of my friends would do that.
