As someone who used to clean aircraft interiors....I always made sure I did the best job possible in the time many passengers were not as disgusting as they are...then cleanliness would be less of a problem.

Re: overhead bin - a great tip I've heard is that you should put your bag in the bin across from your seat. So you can actually see your bag when people open the bin.

To start with anyone traveling today and going thru major airports on a regular basis should/must have: Global entry, and Clear.
I always carry a Bento Bag V 3.0 (underseat carry-on), Away Carry-On (overhead), and a 24oz. Grayl water bottle, a Trtl Pillow, alcohol wipes (wipe everything), a Bluetooth transmitter for your headset/pods, a power bank and a travel blanket. I pack a light down just in case I have to sit on my travel blanket.
I always wear active wear and Nikes or similar. I never drink or eat anything from the plane especially their water and ice. I bring my own food/sandwich/coffee.

Thanks for being open about breaking some of your rules. Although I hear and agree with your tips, sometimes it is hard to not drink that carbonated soda even at the cost of an upset stomach. I do appreciate your thoughtful suggestions, especially about putting luggage in front of your seat and not behind. Thanks for sharing your valuable travel knowledge. Oh, I'm also grateful that you hate germs :))

Yes, drinks. I will usually have a coffee. I also take a Gas-X as I tend to get that "inflated" feeling when flying without even having a carbonated beverage.

I always close the air vent lol It's too annoying, but that theory sounds like it makes sense because it keeps flow of air in front of you instead of keeping it stationary. I'll keep low/medium next time.

Wow! I had not been done like that before. Thanks

Yes drinks, particularly just one (or even two on a longer flight). I agree with the science you mention, but everyone is different, and I seem to do okay with just a moderate amount of alcohol. When I fly international carriers, I make it a point to sample whatever their highlighted national drink is too - it adds to the fun of the experience. Cheers.

I’d love to hear how to manage your phone when traveling - bring an unlocked phone and get a sim when you get there? Downloading movies and books but what about google translate or maps? Text message or what’s app? Phone security (there seems to be many more phone thefts than wallets)?
Your videos are great - I learn something every time I watch.

Very nice tips. Coming from Texas I find your accent very endearing. Best of luck and keep up the great work.

Yes drinks. I flew to Hawaii and had a ginger ale for my stomach upset from nerves. Calmed my stomach down and didn't have an issue. Tea also helps.

Good advise never thought of how dirty the tray could and about the diapers man that will make definitely sanitize everything possible. Thanks

Yes drinks, but not alcohol, coffee, or tea. I love Iceland Air, because they serve the best bottled water. I do drink caffeine soda, if the brand is European or one I can stomach. I do take off my shoes, but use cheap fabric slippers that I can toss into a bin when I reach my destination. I store a second pair in my checked bag. I do not have smelly socks either. My husband does, but he is usually at the window, since I prefer the aisle. I hate it when people extend their leg onto my armrest in the aisle seat, with only their socks on. I have shoved them off, after politely asking them a couple of times to not do this. I also avoid pushing my seat back into recline while the party behind me is still awake. I just treat others the way I would like to be treated. I hate people who take your advice about a bin in front of you and stuff their luggage in the first available bin and walk about 10 to the back of the plane. That makes people like me have to sometimes wait until everyone is off on a short connection to get my overhead bag.

Yes, drinks. I usually have 1 soda (ginger ale) and I fill up my water bottle in the airport prior to boarding. I try and wipe down my tray table, armrest, and seatback prior to sitting down. I also use the cocktail napkin opened up like a placemat so that nothing actually touches the tray table. Flight attendants will give you a few extra if you ask nicely. As for luggage storage, most of the time I pre-board and store in the overhead bin above my seat. I do like the idea of putting your luggage in the bin across from you.

Eating off the tray table is nuts. I see so many people do that.
