I really wish I didn’t take the advise of “just get really strong at chin-ups” and you will have massive biceps, yea they did help but all that happened was my lats blew up and my biceps grew the most from getting stronger at barbell and dumbbell curls, thanks for the vid Alex, also your cut is great man!

I’ve found that it’s not too hard to get strong at barbell curls. The only this is my elbows can’t tolerate it. I tend to keep things light and slowly ramp the weight up as time goes on. Btw you’re looking insanely lean!

I’ve been doing mostly dumbell curls recently, and started telling out 45’s recently. And with accessories like calve curls and preachers curls, hammer curls, and drag curls to target the other heads. I feel like that’s the perfect way to build biceps

I started training arms directly with preacher curls and high volume band extensions and pushdowns and my arms have noticeably improved in not much time. Definitely believe in direct arm training now.

Love straight bar curls. Especially doing strict sets, doing a push movement, and then coming back later to heavier power curls.

Isolation exercises for biceps are definitely crucial.. especially since I have long arms that need a lot of work to fill up

Great video Alex! I too was stubborn and thought all you need is weighted chins for biceps, once I took barbell curls seriously I ate humble pie, my biceps exploded! Keep curling fellas!
