One time, my parents were talking in the kitchen, then my dad gave me money and said to "go buy a coca cola and some 2 bags of chips". here is the issue; You see i'm from México, and in spanish, chips and potatos are said the same "papas" and my dad said "ve y compra 2 papas y una coca cola"...so I understood "papas" as "potatos" instead of chips...and came back home with 2 potatos...since then im the potatos girl

My brother once set the TV remote down in the freezer for a second when getting an ice cream sandwich and forgot it there. An hour or so later we wanted to change the channel and spent a really long time searching for that thing. For years after whenever he couldn't find something we'd either ask him to check the freezer, or casually walk over to the freezer and look inside, informing him it wasn't in there this time.
