We still get faxes from a retired previous employee's grandson, and we love them. I never knew I wanted to see Bulbasaur and Dugtrio go on an adventure. But there we are.

One time a child wrote how much they love our store on a suggestion card and we pinned it up and it's been there ever since. Makes me smile every time I glimpse at it.
Another time I saw in the manager's office that he had pinned up a messily-colored coloring page of the company mascot. So cute

First time fax has had a legitimate argument for sticking around a lil longer

During lock down I was managing a nursing home & local kids just out of the blue started sending parcels of drawings & letters. I’m not sure if here was something on the radio about people in facilities being isolated from their families but the letters started coming about a month into lock down & kept coming. It was really sweet & before long everyone had at least one picture in their room & the letters were read out in the dining room at breakfast.

Kids can be pretty lovely.

When I was really young I managed to call the mental health care & respite centre my nan was staying at (no clue where I got the number) and apparently just kept asking for Nanna 😅
