I sympathize with the third poster. I live on a narrow one way street so noise bounces off the building across from us and ours. It's an old historic building too so there's literally a single pane of glass or layer of bricks between us and the outdoors so I can hear everything people say when they walk by below.
Random scream-swearing is surprisingly the most common thing to hear.

And this is why cat owners are immune to ghost shenanigans. The more cats we have, the more likely we are to assume its just a cat. But we will be unphased and just assume the ghost/demon is just a cat until shown otherwise.

One time I was casually looking for my cat and walking through my apartment calling his name. He was in the kitchen window and as soon as I saw him there my voice dropped two octaves as I shouted "GET DOWN". I looked over and saw two horrified faces in the parking lot below my balcony. I timidly called "sorry, I was talking to my cat". The people cracked up.

In middle of the night i hear thump. Then SILENCE and i KNOW tomfoolery is happening so i turn on my light and i see no cat in the room so i yell WHAT ARE YOU DOING then scuttle under the bed as my car eats literally 3 feet of ribbon

I just lost my sweet Azrael. Im trying not to cry while I think about the things he did. The house is a lot quieter without him. So here is somethings I have heard involving him.

“Ahhh! DAMNIT!! How did you get underneath there?!”- My Dad walking past his bed

“*gasp*….. Why are you staring at me?”- My Mom in the bathroom

Now this is from my friend who told me somethings she remembers about him. She was staying the night. Anyway she and I had laid down, not a few minutes later she heard him run down the stairs going “MER! MER!”

Then she heard him hop onto my bed with a “Mer?” She said she tried so hard not to laugh when she heard me say this in a baby voice “Hello, crackhead~ Wanna cuddle? Okay come here.”

He was such a stinker but so sweet and kind. We are going to miss him so much

This is making me miss my kitty. She's in the vet recovering from her spaying surgery and I only get to take her home on Saturday. It's only been 5 days but I miss her.

My dog always had a trick to get me to play (which was not hard to get me to do)
He got one of my dirty sock from somewhere, stood in front of me, looked into my eyes with "what are you going to do NOW dad? 😏" expression
After me noticing him, i always chased him around the house for a good 30 minutes, and he always "just" out of reach every time 😁🤣
I miss him every day 🥹
