Steam - Download Speed Drops To 0 Fix

A short tutorial on how to prevent Steam's download speed to suddenly drop to 0 when downloading a game or update on Windows 10.

I have really good internet. I tried these but all it does is jump to 20MB per second and then slowly go down to one MB or even Kilobytes.

Got 500mbits download with internet cable and I take 1 hour to download 30gb, cuz steam just stops downloading and after 10 sec it continues but I don’t got that problem on the ps4

i keep dropping to 0 anytime i try to download anything and my games cap out at like 7mbps when my actual download speed is at least 50+

i have 200mbps download but in steam i download games on 500 kb per sec

and even when i get a download it is very low

The only thing that keeps mine from dropping to 0 is to turn on the limit band with and set it to a This locked my download of games to 100Mbs, but it also kept it from dropping to 0. I tried moving it higher since I have fast internet etc, but would get the same issue. So 100Mbs it is for now to avoid frustration.

hey when i try to download csgo it keeps pausing and i have to manually resume it and it does it at random times can you try make a video on that please much appreciated

I thought I had the problem but when I looked closer I noticed that the download completed so fast that I didn't even realize it had already moved onto "patching" and that's why it showed 0% download speed 💀
