During downloading and encountering this bug. I did the LAN setting change and it fixed everything. Absolute Hero.
EDIT: Still drops to zero, just for not as long and not as often.

My full download speed is about 33 mb/s, when i'm downloading games on steam with that speed, my download speed starts to drop down to 0 mb/s and come back to 20...30 mb/s and then drop down again and again.
I limited my download speed to 14 mb/s and the drop down issue gone, it sucks cus i cant use all my internet speed to download games on steam -_-
For me the max able to download with no drop was 14 mb/s, you need try to find out the right download speed that fits better on your connection.
Valve need to fix it!!

I just turned the automatic setting off and cleared the cache. seems to be working now. thanks.

Seems to have worked used to go max at 60 and flat at 0 and stay video is the only one that helped me now it stays between 30 and 40 with zeros here and there overall steady tho thanks

Didn't make any difference. I have a 1000 Mbps downloadspeed, and it only gets up to like 14 before dropping to 0, then starts over building up to around 14 again..

nothing works ive watched so many videos tried out everything there is even did a fresh install of steam and still nothing. hundreds of dollars gone because i cant download or update any of my games

kinda hate sich bullshit platform. My DL speed goes up to 30 MB/s withing 20 seconds it drops to 0MB/s over and over again. I sitched the DL region, i cleared the cahce, look up for all my settings, nothing really helps. It takes days to update a game, though i have everywhere else a connection of 30 MB/s just not on steam

To me my problem was my NVMe ssd. I changed it to download to my normal ssd and things went back to normal.

Weirdly enough this didn't happen when downloading from epic games, just steam.

the cahce delte stops it for like 20 seconds then drops down again and my internet download speed is 1000+ mb/s and 100 upload

Does not work for me all that is happening is that it is on zero and then it goes to like 20/mbs for 3 seconds then zero

Nothing works whit me. Sometimes my speed is ok, sometimes my speed is shit. Their servers are absolute garbage. I am using steam for 7 years and this problem was always here
