Never cheap out on things that keep you separated from the ground. Shoes, mattresses, and tires.

Scotty you've been married for 36 years, maybe you should start a channel about having a long lasting marriage too?

Scotty doesn't have to tell people that he loves his wife. Anyone could see that just from the way he talks about her, and the effort he makes to make her happy. Even something as simple as the ride quality in her car is something Scotty will take time out of his busy day to improve for her. Props to you for having such a loving marriage!

'A chain is only as strong as the weakest link!'

My dad put really crappy tyres on his car. The cheapest ones that were available, to save money. Well, let me say this: It doesn't matter how good your car is, tyres are the ones that keep you in contact with the road. If your car drives like a dream, bad tyres can make it drive like trash.

I commend you for crediting your wife with good judgement. You are a lucky man.

Love my General Altimax tires on my 99 Camry, quiet and smooth and great steering feeling. I won't switch to anything else. I think this is my 3rd set, 274k miles, 17 years with it and still drives amazingly well... Never had any major problems, still on the original alternator, exhaust, ball joints and all A/C parts. Only needed to replace radiator, tie rod ends, struts, belts, a few hoses and idle air control valve in 17 years and I could do most of it myself in the driveway!

I changed my front tires on my Dodge Ram and HOLY what an improvement. It’s an older truck so I thought these were issues because it was 1994. It felt like the alignment was off, the shocks felt worn out, the steering had so much “play” I could move it 2 inches either way without affecting the steering, I would feel every bump in the road like it was a pothole, etc.

Once I changed the tires to new tires, it was like a completely different truck. The driving and the steering was absolutely changed. Now it drives straight, no more play in the steering wheel, no more harsh bumps, smoother shocks and more. Unbelievable, I’ve been driving for only 15 years and owned about 10 vehicles and I never knew how different changing out bad tires could be. I wish I took note of the tires I replaced, now I have Bridgestone tires.

I wish it was as simple as having a set of new tires to make my wife happy 😁

Putting cheap tires on a car is like running after a cheap woman.
You KNOW the ride gonna be bad.

As a mechanical engineer, I can tell you the answer to the title is YES! Harder tires raise the overall spring rate and make for less give in the suspension system since tires also play a part in the car's suspension

Been watching your videos for a while now and have been a huge help and informative for me. Put a huge smile on my face when you mentioned your wife was a elementary school teacher as so is my wife. Keep up the good work mr. Scotty!

I've had really good luck with cooper tires

Had a set of those tires on my wifes Subaru Outback, I drove the car maybe once a month. They were so loud and noisey at 32k miles (with lots of tread left) that I replaced them for her. She never complained, she just turned up the radio!

You get what you pay for. If you buy cheap tires I hope you put the money you saved into good health insurance.

Too hard of a rubber and you get a hard harsher ride, but a long lasting tire, too soft and you get 'tire squirm' reduced tire life but usually a quieter ride til the tread wears down. It's all a tradeoff.

Kumho is a good budget brand. I also use Kumho Solus KH21 all season tires on my car and I am absolutely satisfied with them. Every manufacturer has good and bad products and I have already read startling comments even about GoodYear's, tires too. If somebody wants to by new shoes for its car it should look after on the internet. There are lots of reviews about tires and most of them show that the same type of tire should work differently on two different cars.

Michelin Primacy mxv4. The best all season tire I've ever experienced. Great ride quality, no road noise, long lasting, excellent all around performance.
