If you keep your car outside all the time in sunny states then the time to replace the tires is around 4 years, especially valid unfortunately for hard rubber high mileage warranty expensive tires. When you start notice that your old tires spin the moment you accelerate from red light during rain - time for replacement no matter what thread you have left.

My used Chevy bolt came with 2 good tires almost brand new and 2 okay tires probably half worn when I got the car I just noticed the rotation of the tires doing more burnouts on front axle and then worn tires on the back axle kicking out in rain ran my finger over the tires and the tread bar is even almost to the tread got some tires coming in Friday my family always complains about me working on my cars and replacing parts but tires are scary slick in rain 😂 they lasted about 15K after I got the car in January, the other pair is like 🆕 got the bad tires on the front now going to change them out for some waterfall tires to see how good Michelin really is

Hello. Can you tell me about cracks on the base tread, at the bottom of the grooves, around the lugs. They look like sipes, but I'm pretty sure they are not supposed to be there, in that spot?

What if you see little rips at the end of the tire

Great info . Does traveling long distance (500+ miles) wear tire thread faster?

I have a 2019 Honda CRV EXL with 36K miles. Own the car 2 years and don't drive far. Is mileage an indication of needing new tires? TIA

I guess mileage or age don't count for determining if ti
res need replacement?

Also when a tire is just old. It gets hard and the rubber can start cracking.

Did anyone else misread the "DRIVING" text as "Dr. Irving" lol

I have 44k miles on continental tires that still have a good amount of tread. But, they're 6 years old. I notice them slipping in rain... Time to replace!
