changed a set of 205/55/16 to a set of 225/50/16. Didn't change the diameter or sidewall one bit and increased width by .8 inches. The cornering difference was like night and day better.

I do the opposite I put smaller tires and rims on cars because it lowers unsprung weight, improves breaking, lowers the vehicle making it handle better and more aerodynamic, and lowers gear ratio improving acceleration.
