Yup I had a tire patch done on my wheel and now my car shakes slightly between 65-70mph, anything above or below it drives smooth so you hit the nail on the head. Thanks

If you hit 88mph and you end back in the 60’s that’s not a tire balance problem, you have a time machine problem.

I have my 2016 Malibu. Bought brand new and I started experiencing this problem at about 33000 miles. I was freaking out. At 71mph to about 84mph (Texas highway speeds are the best) there would be a shuttle vibration in the car making me very scared to drive. Sure enough, took it to the dealer and that was the problem. This video is very accurate. If it's a tire balance, you'll know. The vibration, while will not turn your car upside instantly, is something you feel.

Thank you!! I actually have a Camry like yours, 02 LE 4-cyl with a shaking problem between 70-85mph, but faster or slower than that speed will make it go away

I went to do alignment at Jupiter Chevrolet Dealer in Dallas after some work done on the suspension. Since I balanced the new tires just w/Harbor Freight Balancer, I ordered balancing as well, hoping on their good equipment. But when I checked the torques on wheels and drive axle, I was amazed to see, that the lug nuts on rear wheels are coming out by hand. I always check the torques after any shop, since they never do it to specs (or undertorque or overtorque), but I've never seen the lug nuts to be left so loose. Most likely after I did the rear suspension part, I didn't torque the rear wheels, thinking I'll do everything after the front suspension part. After the front suspension I decided to check AC, replaced many parts there, installed a new radiator, so it was a lot, and I didn't check the rear wheels after all that, thinking if the cover plates are there, I torqued them. It was my mistake most likely, but then it comes that the wheels (at least rear) were never taken off, bcs how an expert fm Dealer could not to tighten wheels on the rear at all, if he removed it to put on the machine and put it back. So I'm in doubts about all that, and try the method described in this film. Thank you, it was very informative.

Thanks for this video but I’m a nerd so I’m curious why & how does that happen. It’s strange that the shaking only happens at certain speeds..

Omg thank you! I had my jeep srt tire swap and they said they balanced my wheel. Then I took it down the highway and felt a shake around 100 to 115 km but it would stop shaking around 130 km and stop shaking when I reduce my speed under 100 km. Thanks for your video, I'm going to rebalance my wheels because owing this car has cost me a pretty penny and if I know what the problem is I can just tell my mechanic what I need rather then leaving my car there for it to be diagnose

08 silverado starts to bounce on the front right at around 40-50mph and prolly steadies at around 80mph (dont go that fast cause of fear of wheel flying off)

It can also indicate a broken belt in your tire, which it will need to be replaced, … Not just re-balanced
