As a mature lifter I go backwards now with focused Isolation first and lighter compounds later with focus on the eccentric to avoid injury

Is it too much for a chest/shoulder/tricep day to have Bench, Incline, Dips, Flys, Oh press, Laterals, Uprights rows, Tricep extensions all for 2 sets each?

Do you really need to do a vertical push and pull? I thought bench press and a chest supported row would do everything? I do lateral raises for my side delts, tricep isolation for the long head, and shrugs for the upper traps. I arch and unarch my back during my row to get my spinal erectors.

so why are people in gyms, especially women, doing tons and tons of isolation movement exercises?
