What causes Hump Neck or A Dowager’s hump?
Bad posture, looking down on phones and laptops are the most common cause of a dowager’s hump or hump neck. You have an increased curve in the upper neck so you have to lift the head, so it protrudes forward.

Other possible causes include:

Osteoporosis. A compression fracture causes the increased forward curve. This makes you drop your head forward more than normal and then pull it back and up to see forward. It’s those two things that cause the bump in the upper back.
Congenital problem. Less frequently, the spine doesn’t form properly before birth.
Scheuermann’s kyphosis. This shows up in teenagers, when the spine develops into a wedge shape instead of a rectangle.

If your hump is the result of obesity, a diet and exercise regimen may help treat it.

I swear to god if this doesn’t work I will destroy something. Im thirteen and I have a pretty large neck hump and it makes me so insecure. I don’t put my hair up and I just leave it down for months at a time

Im 14 and i have this problem probably because of phone and as we all had to attend online classes :(
This is my biggest insecurity and it looks super weird. Each time i see someone i try covering it up with my clothes..im gonna try this for some days, hope to see good results

I’m going to give this a try because not only does my bad posture cause a lot of pain especially when I try not to slouch but it puts a lot on my mental health. 😪

Also you can just hold your phone higher up in addition to these exercises. It might look strange kind of like you're taking a picture. Maybe just try and do it at home

Hey I’m only 14 and I have this from looking down at my phone for long periods of time. Which I regret doing and I get really insecure about it. Is there any other good exercises to do that will help.

Thanks mam but i ignore my neck humo because of poor Posture but it has grown causing me neck pain and headache. It very visible its not too big but still big then before.
Is it completely curable? Can i have my normal neck back by regular exercise and good posture

i have a question, when i do it it feels very hard and my back muscle its like it stretch and resist i don't know how to explain it.. But when I'm done for a short time i feel my posture is pretty good.. am i doing it right?

Hey there i am 13 and i am also suffering from this problem i also want my back be perfect 😭 i tried many excercise but didn't got the good result cause of laptop my back got wrose i always tried to hide it can you tell one more excercise to make it gone ? I am trying this excercise now also and the pain is relief 😮‍💨 but still for how many times i have to do it ?

I tried this for 2 days..and now neck right shoulder is swollen and my neck is paining..so should I continue? Or does it mean that the excercise is working?
