Knee Push Ups have been a classic recommendation for beginners who cannot do a Push Up yet.

To be honest, I’d recommend working with an elevation and progress by lowering it until getting to the ground (post coming on this).

However if you don’t have an elevation at your disposal and Knee Push Ups are the regression you choose to practice, doing them right is key.

When performing a regular push up, some core and glute tension must be kept, aiding to counterbalance the anterior pelvic tilt (arched back) which naturally happens since our body is just finding the “easier” way to complete the task.

Addressing this early on is huge.

Also, don’t get discouraged if you find Knee Push Ups to be 5x harder. They are supposed to feel that way when done right, and you’ll be thankful for it down the road towards your first Full Push Up.

Honestly, I find knee push ups as a very underrated exercise which deserves more attention :)

I was doing the same push ups shown in the video which was wrong that caused me lower back pain but after seeing this video I learned my mistake and now I am doing perfect knee push ups. And once more time thank you❤❤

As a beginner I do knee pushups at home and rest of the exercises at gym.

Knee push ups are so great
Not only a good progression for beginners but higly useful for advanced athletes
When i started calisthenics i got my first push ups with knee push ups
As i got advanced i used them for drop sets
Now i use them for warm ups and for wrist work like wrist push ups (wrist are flexed instead of extended)

Like before 8 days i can't even 1 pushup but when i start knees pushups now i can do normal pushups 15 times or i think higher

Man i remember not able to do a single pushups...i was really mad at myslef and then i started doing knee pushups till failure and in 3 days i was able to do 1 pushups i was really happy to see the progress...just do it.. you got this king

Saturno movement is the cause my son
Is best at calisthenics
He still cant do pull ups which worries me some times

If you have bad pelvic tilt, and you can't hold it whats being shown in the video, i recommend you should not continue push ups on knee at all, try wall or take some decline variation,
And take professional guidance to fix your pelvic tilt
